Trivia: Initially the film starts with Kanta Rao as Siva. Later he replaced with NTR. In this film, NTR portrayed the Siva role first time in his career.

Gaali Medalu (1962)

Synopsis: Ranganatham (Nagaiah) leaves his only son Krishna (NTR) in the custody of Panakalu (SV Ranga Rao) before he leaves for the medical treatment. Greedy Panakaalu leaves the village with the money given by Ranganayakulu for the Krishna's education and buys the land in town. He educates his son Mohan (Jaggaiah) and makes Krishna to look after the lands.
Panakalu takes money from Naganna as loan, in exchange to make Lakshmi (Devika) as his daughter-in-law. Lakshmi who is in love with Krishna unaware that she needs to marry Mohan. Panakalu accuses Krishna of spoiling the marriage of Lakshmi with Mohan, which makes Krishna to leave the house. Meanwhile Mohan in the pretext of a millionaire meets Nimmi aka Nirmala (Jayanthi) who is Zamindar's (Rajanala) daughter and marries her. Lakshmi leaves the house in search of Krishna.
How Krishna meets his father Ranganath, and marries Lakshmi and brings changes in Panakalu and Mohan is the rest of the tear-jerking story.

Gulebakavali Katha (1962)

Synopsis: King Chandrasena (Mukkamala) has two wives Gunavathi (Rushyendramani) and Rupavathi (Chayadevi). Rupavathi has three sons. Rupavathi brother Vakraketu (Rajanala) has eye on the king’s throne. When Guanvathi gets pregnant with the blessings of the goddess Parvathi, Vakraketu along with his sister Rupavathi bribes the astrologer and tries to kill the kid, but is rescued and brought up the Shepard couple (Lanka Satyam and Hemalatha).
Once King Chandrasena goes to hunting in the forest and sees Vijay (NTR). He lost the eyesight due to the Vakraketu poisoning the food. He blames Vijay for that. Doctors advice king to get the Gulebakavali flower which blossoms on the full moon day in the Yakshaloka.
How Vijay brings back the flower along with the two beautiful heroines and teaches the lesson to Vakraketu is the rest of the story.

Trivia: It had a 100-day run in 13 centers.
There was Fire Accident on the sets of Narasu Studios, Guindy, Madras on March 13, 1959. The 'Bhatti Vikramarka' shooting required a fire, and a fire was made by using petrol and straw. Mukkamala and Anjali Devi were on the sets. The bamboo setting was ablaze and the flames rose high fast. The fire spread to the adjacent sets too and caused a huge damage of a lakh and half rupees. It took them for more than 90 minutes for the fire brigades to bring the fire under control. This was the worst fire disaster in the history of Telugu cinema.
