Trivia: This was based on Koduri Kousalya Devi's novel 'Chakra Bhramanam', which got first prize in a competition held by Andhra Prabha weekly.
It got Golden Nandi award and Rs. 50,000 prize money from State Govt. With this money as investment, the Akkinini - Adurthi duo made two films 'Sudigundalu' and 'Maro Prapancham' under Chakravarthi Chitra banner.
