Trivia: Initially, the film ready to release by 7 April. But already NTR started his political party Telugu Desam on 28 March. So he faced problems from censor board. His fans held Dharnas and Relay Fastings for release of the film. Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, President of India that time, Indira Gandhi, the prime minister, and Vasantha Sathe, the information minister were watched the film and given green signal to the film for release.
The film released with 70 prints and in more than 100 theatres first time in South India.
It had a 175-day run in two theatres.
