Trivia: This was the first Indian talkie film directed by a woman.
It was simultaneously produced and released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages by Bharani studios. Bhanumathi, NTR and SVR were acted in these three films.
Subbaraman died at the middle of this project, while MS Viswanathan given tunes for remaining songs.

Trivia: This was a remake of Malayalam hit movie 'Chembarathi'. Roja Ramani acted in all the three versions- 'Chembarathi', 'Kanne Vayasu' and 'Paruva Kalam' (Tamil). She got Film Fare Best Actress award for 'Chembarathi', at the age of 13 years.
